Is poverty necessary? I think that, nobody wants to be poor and of course everybody wants to live comfortable but world has an equilibrium. While somebody is poor, somebody is rich and equilibrium of world is protected like this. If everybody is rich enough, nobody wants to work. For instance, I didn't see a person who is happy while he or she works. Hovewer, people work in order to be necessary especially, poor people work much more than the other people in order to earn money and meet their needs. This is increased workforce. In additions, it is positively correlected with development. Therefore,unfortunately while some people are rich, some people must be poor.

I think, telling that poverty is necessery is selfishness.And I don't want to tell it.Because it means some people should be poor to other people are rich.But there are some facts which I can't ignore.In all societies there are employers and workers.And employers are rich, workers are poor.Unfortunately, we can't block this.Because people have to work to survive.people who work a lot, earn money and they are rich employer.Then they allow someone to work.So it is loop.Absolutely, I think anybody isn't poor but it is a law of life because poor people are working the jobs which rich people don't want to work like hairdressing,dustman.These jobs are necessary for people's life.Therefore, some people should be poor to other people are rich.

I think poverty is necessary. Because in societies if there are no poor people that means there are no rich people. This leads to a non-compepetive job enviroment. Static job enviroment can be the reason of bad products of facilities. Also if a poor person understands that he\she can earn much with working hard, he\she could be motivated to work. I think having the same salaries makes unpeaceful athmosphere in societies. If a company owner and a door-keeper have same earnings, how can that be fair? There should be a line between to tear them apart into their statues. I do not mean to humilate the door-keepers,conversely societies need them. If there were no door-keepers at all. there'd be some braekdowns that destroys order.

I think poverty is necessary because even rich people need poor people. For example a business man needs a cook to cook for him and that cook needs a baker that baker needs someone else. The system works like that everybody needs each other. But when you look for another window being poor is not satisfying. Nobody wants to be poor. Some work hard and try to go on their lifes but some people doesn't do that. They sit their backs and they only will about something. People who doesn't work can't succeed in their lifes. But we must understand something. Life is not all about money. There are friends we have and we must not forget about them.

I agree with Marshall for some part of his argument. He claims that “Without a large proportion of poverty there could be no riches" but I think not large proportion to be needed for being rich. If large proportion of poverty exist, it shows us there could not exist many riches. In this situation shows us your society is poor and no development is available for them. Of course poor people should exist to do some hard works but if this position increase your civilization's live will be in danger. Because of not being many people to do some works which are needed intellegence.
Besides, I don't agree the statement that Marshall emphasizes like: "Poverty is most necessary and indispensable ingredient in society". I think most required think is education to deal with everything. You can also pull ahead poverty, disease and equalities with education.

Unfortunately, poverty is necessary. If there was no poverty, wealth couldn't be a concept in somewhere. Poverty is necessary to be rich people. If everyone be wealthy, their country can't develop. For instance, if a person is very rich, he or she doesn't want to be a garbage collector. But, a country needs a garbage collector. So, this issue can be a big problem in this country. Everone lives how they want when they improve themselves in their abilities and their budget depends on their life style. If there is no person who works basicly, a country can't develop rapidly.

Marshall claims that poverty is necessary because, labour can result only from a state of poverty. At first, when I first read this question a “no” answer appeared in my mind. But later I kept reading and after reading the sentence which I mentioned in the first sentence of my entry, my thoughts about this issue changed, I thought that poverty causes ambition on people. If nobody has poverty, there will be no labour then and people will not try to be active. Additionally, ignoring poverty also means ignore of richness. If poverty does not exist, there will be no riches at the same time. People will not try to contribute to development and there will be no progress. Because of all these reasons poverty is necessary for the world.

Poverty is not good for nations and people. Poverty is embarrassing for today's world and it gives way to crime and other things. Income inequality between people seems inequity. However unfortunately poverty is necessary. Income equality is impossible to equal. When all people have same income, some people will be rich again, because some people will know how to use money correctly and some people will use their money rakish. Therefore income inequality level increasing again and again. For Marshall's text which we did criticism in class together and i said same things, if everybody has same income, many people want to do their favorite jobs as they wish so it gives way to economic slowdown and of course it is a bad issue for economy. In summary, eveybody want to beat poverty and live better and same standards. But it can not be in the real world. When a baby come into the world, s/he see firstly signboard of '' Welcome to the jungle''. So everybody must fight to survive in the ''Modern'' World.

If we ask anybody that "is poverty necessary?" they will answer no. They will probably argues that poverty can't be necessary. If I am asked this question before, I used to say the same answer. But after reading Marshall text, my opinions have changed. When we think in logic, we understand that poverty can be necessary. Because there's no way everybody's equal. If everybody have same income, nobody wants to do bad jobs like cleaning toilets, there are no competition in workers. An economic institution can't be equal because of its nature. Even if we dream a world that everbody are equal it is impossible to come true.

I didn't think,poverty is necessary.But after I read Marshall text,I saw this is true.Poverty is necessary.Poverty means inequality.If there is inequality,some people are rich some aren't rich.People who aren't rich make an effort something.And this determine who have power.According to Colquhoun (Marshall text),people who are rich are rich because of people who are poor.Maybe,this may be true.I think being rich is result of making an effort something.To make an effort is result of poverty.On the other hand,if everybody was rich,who work and develop something?.For example;Why a person who is rich want to be dustman?.If anybody don't want to be dustman,who pick up rubbish?.So I think,even if poverty is bad for people it is necessary in society.Even if nobody like it...
