Task:
Can Turks be trusted with their own future? Or should the ruling elite continue to make all important decisions because the people are not yet mature enough to do so?
Write a well-structured paragraph or two (topic sentence with a controlling idea, supporting sentences and concluding sentence) of no more than 200 words in which you support one side of the above argument by showing the flaws in the other side. Make reference to the Kinzer text we discussed in class to support your view. Please argue objectively rather than emotionally.
DUE 3rd DECEMBER at 17.00. NO LATE POSTS ACCEPTED.

Please POST your paragraph to the blog:
1. Go to www.blogger.com/start and sign in to your blog account. Under the “Labels” section on the right side of the page, click on *Assignments*. You will find my new post there.
2. Click on “New Post” in the upper right corner next to your email address.
3. Type “Can Turks be trusted with their own future?” into the title field.
4. Draft your paragraph on paper or in a word processing programme (e.g Microsoft Word) and make sure it’s well-written before copying it into the message field. You can click Preview to see how it will look.
5. Highlight your topic and concluding sentences in two different colours. Do not change the font colour of the supporting sentences/main body of the paragraph.
6. In the “Labels” field, type your section number followed by a comma (,) and your first and last name (e.g. 149.03, Sonja Tack). Use Turkish characters where appropriate. This will help you and others to find your blogs easily. If you do not know your section number, ask your teacher.
6. Click on Publish Post.
7. Go to View Blog to see your contribution.
8. NB: If you do not follow these instructions precisely, you will not receive credit for your post.
