Although in the generations that have passed since Atatürk built a new and much more developed nation on the debris of the Ottoman Empire, Turkey advanced in high standards in any ways, nowadays the system seems inconsistent in Turkey since democracy has almost become the tyranny of the majority and the ruling elite. Obviously there have been made many changes in economic, political and social means in Turkey in order to accomplish the standards of the West. Even though Turkish people were not used to a democratic system, the system has fit in the course of time. However, in the last decade the ideology also changed and the future of Turkey became more imperceptible because there are still some people who sympathize to monarchy and prefer to be managed by authorities without questioning. Actually it is the allowance of the public via the democracy. Today, in Turkey all decisions are made by the “ruling elite” who were elected by the majority of the public and those represent all 80 million people in domestic and international assemblies. The “ruling elite” is satisfied with the aspect of the majority and refuses to embrace with the educated, self-confident and intellectual populace of Turkey. Therefore, it means, how much mature or immature the Turkish people are, the “ruling elite” also that mature or immature. In this case the democracy works. Some Turkish people are aware of this warped formation. According to Kinzer, those people do not think that Turkey is ready for complete democracy. The divergence of opinion is a result of pluralistic society of Turkey. Moreover, today, the ones who are not used to democratic system or do not want to administer according to democratic rules on account of their beliefs and traditions constitute the majority. Therefore, it seems a bit fearful for Turkey’s future since besides it is a “fragile creation” as Kinzer says, the public is not ready for true democracy because a large group of people is not mature enough to realize that the “ruling elite” continues to make all important decisions by not applying all principles of democracy; so that it is rather early to say that Turks can be trusted with their future.

Aid to Africa?

Despite all the efforts in the past, extreme poverty and hunger in Africa still remained unresolved towards world peace and equality. Therefore, there is no doubt that any assistance to Africa would be a necessary step in order to eradicate poverty and hunger and provide all needed services for people to have a better and qualified life. Aid seems like a solution for Africa’s future but what is definitely required for developing the life standards and eliminating the poverty is more than supplying aid. As the director of the Royal African Society states, if aid could help Africa become more affluent, it would already have done so by now. On the other hand, people who subsist on less than 1$ in a day are not necessarily in need of cash. Therefore, although aid is recognized as a compulsory life support, it is insufficient for the eradication of poverty and hunger and providing prosperous lives for those who struggle to survive in economic, social and cultural means. The obvious cause of poverty to remain unresolved is that millions of people have no access to clean food and water, medical and education services and are lack of adequate shelter. Since especially basic education; even a high literacy rate is an advantage to developing countries in various ways such as the development of the region and the improvement of technology. Moreover, a lot of children are under violent authorities, many of the people suffer from diseases as HIV/AIDS and also rapid population growth in poor regions lead to a depletion of natural resources as a result of extreme poverty. On account of all these reasons, rather than cash supply, providing basic needs for poor people to survive would be more beneficial. Furthermore, it will also prevent people use that cash help unconsciously. By being deeply concerned of the upsetting facts of Africa and taking all these reasons into consideration, it can be concluded that in order to eradicate extreme poverty and hunger in Africa, rather than only helping people by giving cash, the necessary actions must be taken.

Turks can make decisions for their future not completely but partly, because democracy has occurred in Turkey with not evolution but with revolution. In other words, Turks fell in many difficulties with the sudden change of system of government in the past. In other countries in which democracy occurred with evolution, people who live there gradually got used to live democratically. Our country efficaciously adopts democracy, but indeed people like being managed. Turks are people who lived in a country in which absolute monarchy existed and so in Turkey, there are still many people who sympathize to that patriarchal government system. In contrast, in the USA, democracy also occurred with revolution; but their customs and traditions differ from ours. This difference helped USA to develop and adopt democracy in a shorter time. In Kinzer’s text, he states that “In Turkey it is not hard to find thoughtful, worldly people who believe their country is not ready for full democracy”. Turkey is said to be a democratic country; but it is not for full. For example, getting in the university wearing headscarf is forbidden for girls; but a boy who shares the same ideas with that girl can get in that university. In this case, the girl has to make a decision between getting education or wearing headscarf and this is not democratic. Meanwhile, I do not defend that wearing headscarf in university is right; it is a different issue. Consequently, Turks need more time to have a full democratic system; because I believe that they will get used to living in a democratic country with the course of time and if secularism and culture of democracy exist accurately, then Turks can be trusted for their future.

Every Turk wants to make decision for their future. However, they cannot actualize things which they want everytime. Because there are goverment which has apparent decision and rules. If leader was a like Atatürk, our own future would be safer. Since as we know, after republic was established, we developed and made progress. In addition, Turkey has rich abundant and resources. For instance, many of crops can grow in our country. However, thing which is significant can notice that. Turkey is a country which succeed to be secular and Muslim and any country succeed that. In Kinzer's text, he says that, "If Turkey can entice Muslim countries toward democracy, it wiil reshape the entire world" I think that, it is true. If Turkey can use their resources properly, it always make progress. Because Turkey has young people who mark out for a brilliant future. If goverment give support to us and it can protects eqalitarianism and Turks can have our own right, they can be trusted their own future. Because Turkish people are believing and clever.

Turks can be trusted wıth their own future because Turks exchanged mainly than the past,now turks can differentiate that which is true or false for themselves.A lot of things changed in Turkey.Education is one of the most important thing for Turkey and our trade is improving day by day.Kinzer alluded somethings about this subject,secularism.Turkey is a muslim nation nevermore I believe that turkey is a secular nation.Therefore Turkey can have a place among the developed countries. I thınk Turks can be trusted their own future. They can believe that everything will be better than now.Turks are a special nation which had a lots of victory in their own lives.They got out a lot of adverse situations.
They have brave heart for that reason can’t afraid or escape anything else.Untill now, they used that brave heart and get rid from each adverse situations. For example , most of country did’t believe that Turkey would improved in industry, economi, healty, agriculture…But Turkey achieve all of these improvement and carry out its development every time.Thus, Turks belive their future will be better than now.Also they must belive ıf there is someone who don’t believe their future.There are many statment about Turkey future or live. According to the Kinzer text, ‘Turkey is kept in chains.For Turkey to live , devlet must die.’ I don’t agree this statement ‘ Devlet’ is a main blog that keep us on stand and protect us another caos on the subject of management.Also our management is so democratic as you can see in our parliement now. There are Kurds deputies who support PKK. Our devlet can support minorties right also.So there is a lot of illustrations that show devlet is necessary and useful for Turkey life and future.For that reasons Turks must believe and trusted their own future.

It is very important to help African people now, because there are many poor people who suffer from lack of food, water and some diseases. They don't have enough medicine to avoid from the disease.
While West country could help to Africa. They should pay attention some problems that come on scene in societies. HIV viruses patrol in Africa to kill the productive labour. And another problem is unchecked population growth. These two problems can be solved with a large scale sexual education with using causal teaching. as we know, effects of natural disaster are big. Morever, although millions of people die from AIDS, population increase significantly in Africa. While there are people who suffer from hunger and poverty, to what extent are correct increasing of population. On the other hand, Africa has abundant and rich land. However, they do not produce their food as there are no irrigation equipment, agricultural machinery, fertilizer factories, infrastructure in Africa and it will be very difficult for them to overcome their problems under these conditions
I think that African's goverment should taken some measures for people and own society. Towards having favour from different country because allhelp actually is not really aid

At the moment Turks cannot be trusted with their future. There is a huge difference between the lower class and upper class. The people living in Istanbul sip their Starbucks while the people in Diyarbakir are trying to wondering if they will get food the next day. The distribution of wealth and income is very uneven in Turkey. Therefore the people in the poorer parts of Turkey don’t get proper education. The facts and figures show that the literacy has increased and that more people are getting education but the truth is the education they are getting is not objective. The education they get is Islamic. There is almost no one who gets objective education, which can increase awareness and teach them how to analyze situations intellectually. Unless they get this kind of education, their minds will be subjective and they won’t be able to make proper decisions. Turkish people have gone through a lot, so they often become very confused and they can easily be manipulated. Therefore, unless everyone gets proper education without any Islamic studies and is aware of all the facts, they cannot be trusted with their future.

Turks can't be trusted with their future because of the reason of its past.Turkish people are hard working and decisive but these qualities couldn't help Turkey to be independent in the past.Addicted to the USA and some other European countries in economical ways make Turkey 's financial conditions worser.Inflations,devaluations,economic crisis were some of the facts of the small resurraction of Turkey's Economical position.Aside the financial state of Turkey,the politics is the other reason of the lack of trusting our future.Political wilderness in our country damaged our prestige at foreign countries.This situation made Turkey to want for to join the European Union or another European association.It shows that there is a necessity on having help from other countries to be well in.Economical conditions and political imbalances which are in Turkey averted Turkey's development at past and will avert in future that's why Turks can't be trusted with their own future.

I think that Turks can not be trusted with their own future because, until there are "national dilemmas" in Turkey. When we look at the last ten ears economical sitution and political views, we can understand that trusting to our future in possible. Infilation of Turkey is increasing day by day. Also financial of Turkey depends on the USA.because of these reasons people are anxious for own future. If a country hasn't got economical freedom , tey should be ready for everything.In 2001 Turkey get face to face economic crisis. Turkish's lira lost in value. Especially working class lost of thing because this facts.Besides,civil offices ın Turkey are hived off state industries by goverment and then these companies being sold to foreign corporation. When Turkey is in that condition how can people trust on their future. Finally; ıf turkey can not develop itself the conditions became worser and people's beliefs on Turkey's future will end.

I think Turks can be trusted with their own future because things changed until 1923. People started to think before they act and they were free to do lots of things.

In past people used to do what they are told and nobody could say something about it. Now people have rights and they can criticize almost everything. I said almost because some are forbidden. For example with the new law even high ranked military officers can not talk about military acts happening now or happened in past. Now lets turn our attention to the ruling elite. As we talked in class ruling elite says that they are Ataturk's heirs but their decisions doesn't support Ataturk's ideas. They say they support democracy but they don't give the right to vote to people. They say it's because Turkish people are not yet educated to make critical decisions.With that mind Turkey wouldn't go far but thank god it didn't happen.

In my opinion our directors are not good enough to direct a country but what can we do about it.

We can trust our own future with logging to come today. As we have progressed since our republic occurs, we will go on progressing.
Our economy is improving that our companies could deal with other country's companies. Our money is gaining value day by day. We've many mineral resources to operate as boron that we got 70 percent in all world's resources.
As Kinzer said we are in an important geopolitical place and also a political place. The Bosphorus connects Europe and Asia, and it is also crossing point for trading. We come religious countries and democratic countries between. We are neighbour to petroleum resources that is no meaning to say its importance. These situations make Turkey to be made investments. An investment could force countries go on progressing to get more investment for being a modern country. Now we are a more educated society than before. We have intellectuals, scientists, doctors, teachers at world class. Our university number are increasing.
In the light of the foregoing, I look to the future hopefully. We have a great educated society to make their choices on their own , we do not need a ruling elite to make decisions in lieu of us because we are a democratic country that everyone has a chance to make decisions, if we have no chance to choice anything why do not we are ruled with autocracy or oligarchy?

The ruling elite should continue to make all important decisions for a while because the people are not yet mature enough to do so but this does not mean that this situation is permanent. Participating in the important decisions of people should be target and the elite should try to work on this issue in order to reach the target. This issue needs time. For instance; although Atatürk had founded the Turkish Republic and wanted to have secularism, caliphate which was completely against secularism still existed because he knew that it was not time to live with secularism for people and if secularism was accepted, this would also create negative reactions towards the Republic and Atatürk. For these reasons, the secularism was accepted by not only government but also citizens after time passed. Another example concerning this restriction of the elite is that Atatürk had founded a political party and there was only a party to vote but after time passed another political party needed and founded. It can't be denied that implementing of multiparty elections took time and unsuccessful events occured but it happened at the end. And today, we can see lots of political views appear in Turkey. To sum up, the elite should continue to make important decisions for a while and they should also walk towards target which the people can participate in ruling the country.

Elite had to carry out radical reforms in every field of governanceand social issues without spending much time.Additionally, This nation were governed bya particular person or group for years and suddenly they faced a new regime. Thereforeit was so tough being adapted to new living style and having a voice in the management.For this reason elit made all important decisions about the future of new Turkey in that time.Then, turkey has shown considerable improvements in every field and the democracy understanding started to entrench in turkey. However Turkish leaders continued to make all decisions and ıt was an absoluate mistake because turkish nation became conscious aboutpoliticial issues of their country. As Kinzer text said, especially in 1960s and 1980s .we had bad experinces with army coup and ruling elit’effect decreased.Until this efect decreased, Turkish democrcy continued to damage deeply and Turkey started to show a diminuation after reforms in the first years of Turkish Republic because of wrong decisions of its leaders.I absoluetly believe it can not a civilizated and developed country if a state sweep aside rights and opinion of its citizens.In conlusion,İf we want to have full democrcy in our country, our government have to trust us and listen our voice in management, not ruling elite

I think that the rulling elite should give a chance to Turks in order to speak, think independently and participate in a political system and this class should not make all the vital decisions fot the future of Turkey. One of the dreams that Turkey has is to complete its path through the European Union by maintaining fully the principles of democracy in its future. According to the Kinzer's text, the author highlights that Turks should maintain the true democracy and if done so there would be no obligations that hamper Turkey for coming true its dreams. Therefore in this kind of political system that Turks are dreamed of and in the governments that are embodied with full principles of democracy, the attitude of the rulling elite that points out the absolute abusing power and controlling can not be seen or experienced. Throughout the traces of the new Turkish republic that was established by Atatürk and his friends in the hostile climate, our duty is to review today's political system and take into consideration of making this nation standing on a prosperous and free land. In my opinon, the rulling elite should trust Turks just like Atatürk and remember the Turkish zeal and ambition in order to come true their dreams by allowing them to participate in deciding for future of Turkey.
Moreover I don't think that the rulling elite merely considers the ignorance of Turks to hamper their participation in the political life. I believe that this class at the same time is afraid of losing control all over the populance, because I suppose that the one who has the dominance and holds the power in its hands never tries to give up its control and power. It is because of human nature. Hence, the rulling elite should give up to make all decisions for Turks and it should try to understand Turks' ability and ambition in order to develop this nation with the true democracy.

The ruling elite has so important stuation in Turkey.One of that important stuation is making all important decisions.Because they think about that the people aren’t yet mature enough to do so.We need the ruling elite but not always.The people , sometimes, make their decisions themselves.

In Turkey, Some parts of people who graduated from university is low. So sometimes, the people who had gradueted from primary school can’t discuss and decide about the Turkey’s future.Because they can’t understand what Turkey’s end will be, easly. But the ruling elite which was selected by these people , can or should decide fort hem.

However, on some issues, the ruling elite must give up the selection to the people.Because the ruling elite is here for citizens. If they think about they couldn’t decide themselves, and make decide on the way which they want, the citizens won’t trust them and a civil war may start.

As a result, the ruling elite must rulet he country with citizens selection, vote and decision.

tTurks should be trusted with their own future. Important point is: Who are those ‘Turks’? ‘Turks’ are the people who must be well prepared, careful, patient, brave and must foresee the future too. Those ‘Turks’ are the people whose idol is Atatürk. Turks must be well prepared. Those are the people who were grown up by learning our Independence War. They must settle everything better than Mustafa Kemal. Because everything will be harder. People can’t see everything because tv’s, newspapers etc erase their brains. War is harder now. Turks must be brave. Because; they must be the people who can both die and kill for their independence when it’s necessary. Like our grands and brothers did at 1st World War, at Independence War, at ’68, at ’80 and now. Turks must be careful. Because real enemies are so close to us. Enemies are brainwashed people. Enemies believe the party in power’s members are patriots. Enemies were against our independence when Mustafa Kemal and his soldiers were saving our grands. Enemies are at the top now. Enemy is the government. Enemies are sheiks, disciples and warlords. Turks must foresee the future. Because Turks’ future will be the world’s future too. By the way Turks are not the ‘elites’ who only cares Dollars and Euros. They are just lapdogs. We do not need money. We need pride, belief and intelligence. It must be added that those Turks can be Turk, Kurdish, Greek, Armenian, Jewish, Brazilian etc. ‘’The person who says I’m a Turk, is a Turk’’ (said by K. Atatürk ). To bring a conclusion we must be both trustful and well prepared. Future equals independence for every Turk.

Turkey encounters lots of problems in the world that is being managed by money. It was really an uneducated country before. But now, it is in countries which is developing. This point is very important about Turkey, because this shows that it is sufficient at all points. Uneducated side of Turkey is reducing. People can realize any thing about Turkey’s life more quickly. The government has been different, of course, until Ataturk’s time. The authority of public did not effect enough to management. But Turks have always decided themselves about their future, also Ataturk’s contribution was very important about this point. But Turks have always power which ensures to be independent. Directors and countries which scare from Turkey’s evolution has effected and still effect adversely to Turkey. But this does not show that the ruler elite can decide instead of Turks. Turkey that improves day to day and considers more important, adopts democracy. And Turkey has moved with democracy, now still does it. Some ideas and conclusions in Kinzer text are even true, Turks are exactly mature at all points. While ignorance in Turkey is reducing by time, Turks will be more mature and conscious, so they will bear their nation on the top. Hence the ruling elite should not make all important decisions. Turks can be trusted with their own future.

It’s difficult to make a generalization for the mature of all Turks to be trusted on their own future because of the unequal conditions they have but it doesn’t mean that the ruling elite should continue to make all important decisions.
When the Republic was established, Atatürk realized many revolutions in such a short time and the most important one was democracy because Turks had been administered by an absolute powerity (sultan) in the Ottoman Empire. So, they were in a habit of being controlled by someone with certain rules then, it was hard to adapt to democracy. In the adapting process, some groups have wanted to use democracy for their own profits and someone have supposed themselves as the heritages of Atatürk on deciding all important decisions alone as the writer mentioned about. As a result, an actual true democracy couldn’t be applied but it shouldn’t be continued if we want to develop. Because the development could be realized in a atmosphere where all different ideas can be argued with an indugence. A true democracy can be applied with people who think freely without a pressure of a powerful group. When, the ruling elite make all decisions, politic steps reflects the ideas of a definite group and people feel themselves under a strict contol then, the chaos can’t be prevented and the republic can be in a danger of divisible.
In my opiniun, Turks should be trusted on their own future to develop more with a modern education system to be more mature for being conscious citizens of our Republic.

Turks can not be trusted with their own future because they can not make important decisions about their future. There have been lots of changes in Turkey till today. People have become more educated and sophisticated than past and they also have to elect or decide who will be presidents or legislators. They are living in democratic Turkey. People are completely free and they have lots of rights to live independently because of the democracy. On the other hand, Turks can not make all important decisions about their country though Turkey has a democratic system. When the ruling make all decisions, the people who live in Turkey can have difficulty in adopting these kind of decisions about themselves because they can not ensure its truth even if legislators was elected by Turks. In conclusion, Turks can not be trusted with their own future because their future depends on the ruling elites which make all significant decisions instead of Turks.

''turks should be trusted about their own future'', this is sine qua non. But how? Can a person be trusted in his/her own future who lives in a country, which have not powerful state policy. İf the individuals cant see this power, they cant be hopeful about the future.
Turkey is a free state nevertheless has still problems about being indepented about economy. The external factors can easily dictate to turkey'S policy because they have the power. In the past 20 years with the help of the shortsighted politicians, turkey became a poor country because of this the europe doesnt think lovely about turks. Ruling elites know this but still waste time. There is a strange sentence in kinzer's text: ''Ruling elites think that turks are not yet mature enough to make their own decision''. This is a fact that there are still so many people who are illiterate yet this opinion also doesnt mean that the absolute power is in the hands of ruling elites. Elections is made in every five years ( with the new law:4) and people who are determined to govern the state, get one's own way and no devepment can be seen in this period of time. Turks have bad habits, one of them is obeying all the decisions made by government. They have no idea about what'S happening in the world the thing that they know is to obey everything,if the politicians take care of only their own expedience, then no one can save the country. On the other hand, there also so many illiterate people in Ataturk'S time,but the other countries which see Turkey as a poor country, was ecstatic about the development of Turkey after the First World War. İt shows that there is a problem about the ruling elite now. However they have no capacity to make decision that can influence millions of people , they can think that turks are not mature enough. This is unbelieveable.
whence people choose the politicians who care Turkey's profit firstly, they cant be trusted with their own future and one point more: every individual should know what's happening in the country and also shoudnt give the full control of the country to ruling elites.

Turk can not be trusted with their own future because nowadays Turkey is not completely independent in their internal and external affairs.
It is impossible that the citizens trust with their future in such a state organization which can not make their own decisions independently. Many different factors such as the criteria of EU for the harmonization process in the west and the ongoing struggle against therrorism in the east of the country are influencing the decision making process in Turkey. The picture which has been realised after the last general elections put the "elites" who think that they have the power to influence the future of Turkey in the opposite pole of the public groups. With their different expectations and priorities, these two groups do not seem to be able to join in a common point of view. However, it is important that all public groups should come and act together for the priorities of the country. It is the only way to be strong "in" and "out" the country.
It should not be forgotten that any nation do not trust with an unknown future.

I think,Turks can be trusted with their own future.If we compare the past and now for Turkey,we can see the lots of things had changed.Now,Turkey is divided up some parts within itself.Such as;elite.. At the present day some of people stil think that elite should continue to make all important decisions.But the most important issue is why elite? All people have equal rights,they are capable of make right decisions. On the other hand,we have to ask this question too;did elite govern with democracy? If not;how they would make right decisions? Elite defend democracy in Turkey.While the last elections,people didn’t provide them healthy competition with other nations.They wanted to increase their quality,but hey didn’t.Because of the political policy.It has changed many people’s life. Turkish nation is the great secular democracy that Ataturk dreamed of but was never able to see when he is alive.His successors in this secular Kemalist priesthood have been reluctant to allow his dream to flower.
The secular Islamic Republic that is going to embrace the ideals of the west without losing the heritage that it brings from its Islamic and Ottoman background.That idea gave Kinzer the sense that Turkey really was a country poised at the break of greatness.
Turkey was built on the fear that its enemies would pull it back to fundamentalism and away form the modern ideals of Ataturk. In the years since then, the Kemalist elite has clung to those fears. They still fears but there is no time for Turkey,it should move on urgently. Turkey is now prepared to complete its march toward democracy. The fears that we are hearing are fears that come from historical tradition. These traditions don't fit into modern Turkey anymore.
The people who hold political and military power in Turkey, are terrified at what it will mean when believers are able to practice their religion freely, when people of various ethnic groups will be able to assert their ethnic identities, when people have who fundamental criticisms of the Turkish Republic are free to say and write everything they think. Turkey can not stand up in front of the Islamic world as ‘a modern Islamic country’ and also in fornt of the West world to defend its own idea but there are always people who have tried to encourage leaders to break out of this psychological prison into which they have locked themselves for so long. Now, I think that group is larger than ever.
As a result, Turkey is now at a stage where it is able to withstand the stresses that democracy encompasses. Postponing its dream is going to growing frustrations, even in a country where people are naturally not confrontational. This is a danger for Turkey. Turkey will certainly change in time and will have the ability of make important decesions by themselves.

Turks love living freely and can do every thing whatever it's dificulties. Turks lived a very difficult back-ground and they overcame all of them. In the past they were living in a monarchy but with the help of the Atatürk Turks overcame that. Turks economy was very poor up to 2003 but now the Turkish economy is increasing. In the years between 1990-2000 our exportation was about 20 billion dollars, but last year(2005-2006) it was about 180 billion dollars. Stephen Kinzer says there is no a full democracy in Turkey. In my opinion he's right. There are elite and military who are effedtive in our democracy in Turkey. For example a full democratic government has to allow their people to go to universities whatever they wear a Turban or not , but Turkish government does't allow that. I hope that Turkey will overcome this, too. In conclusion not only Turks can be trusted with their own future, but olso can be trusted with their own succeses.

Turkey's method of management is democracy. For democracy, everybody has a desicion for their nations' election or other things which determined by people. So elite doesn't determined all of these things in nations which be governed by democracy. Elite defend democracy in Turkey. However they don't want to the populace of Turkey to make important desicions, even last election of Turkey. For elite, the populace doesn't know political policy, so they can not make desicions about political policy. However democracy give everybody same chance to say everything (except force other people's rights). Therefore this issue is dilemma for Kinzer and me too. Elite can not ignore the populace, if they want to do it, they ignore half of the population of Turkey even more, but Turkey is not them, Turkey is everybody's who can say i am a turkish or i love or like to live the nation. Democracy is Atatürk's dream, he wanted that eveybody has a same chance for every part of life (election and elected rights, education rights, health rights etc...). In summary, elite pose to defend Atatürk, but if they defent him, they trust Atatürk's dream. However the populace of Turkey will look after Atatürk's dream and nation.

Turks can't be trusted with their future if the ruling elite continues not to trust them.The lack of confidence should be prevented in some way.And this can all be done by trusting the present day.Turkey isn't in need of a ruling elite that doesn't have a faith in even it's citizens and can't see the flames in their eyes that is burning with the love of their country.Just like Kinzer stated, the elite's manner causes Turkey to be in a "national dilemma" that blocks the country to develop.That's why it became a country that has come to a stand still although it has the potential to be one of the advanced domains in the world.The elite disdains Turkey's desicions so much that it automatically affects Turks belief in themselves.But this shouldn't be like that.Turkey has passed through so many difficulties, saved itself from a dark age and came to today's democratic position years ago.So to conclude, Turkey's future is in Turk's hands.There should be a more authentic atmosphere in order to feel the democracy better.I believe that the Turk's trust with their own future is not possible until the ruling elite does an effective interference about Turkey's future.

Since, educated Turks are more than before especially the young have different and creative ideas with using their intelligance and as Kinzer said,democracy has to be embraced fully although ruling elite believes all society doesn't mature and they are even justified.At first, general population may adapt this fully democratic order hardly, they may even make undue decisions. However, as time goes on, with testing themselves bias will be collapsed, society will be aware of how much power they have, their self-confidence will increase and they will decide more consciously. If you want one to learn swimming, you will throw overbroad, of course without leaving that one alone. This example is like what ruling elite have to do to save society from their inexperience. Ruling elite's thinking about being democratic and to tend to have a dogmatic system also create dilemma according to Kinzer, because of this developing is declerated. Turks can make decisions for their future not completely but partly, because democracy has occurred in Turkey with not evolution but with revolution. In other words, Turks fell in many difficulties with the sudden change of system of government in the past. In other countries in which democracy occurred with evolution, people who live there gradually got used to live democratically. Our country efficaciously adopts democracy, but indeed people like being managed. Turks are people who lived in a country in which absolute monarchy existed and so in Turkey, there are still many people who sympathize to that patriarchal government system. In Kinzer’s text, he states that In Turkey it is not hard to find thoughtful, worldly people who believe their country is not ready for full democracy. Turkey is said to be a democratic country; but it is not for full. For example, getting in the university wearing turban is forbidden for girls; but a boy who shares the same ideas with that girl can get in that university. In this case, the girl has to make a decision between getting education or wearing turban and this is not democratic. By the way, I do not defend that wearing turban in university is right; it is a different issue. Consequently, Turks need more time to have a full democratic system and if secularism and culture of democracy exist accurately, then Turks can be trusted for their future.

Turks can be trusted with their own future. But I think that it can be accomplished only with democratic processes or ways. In other words, it can be successful if it has got a government who gets power only from the public. As Stephen Kinzer says, the ruling elite made all important decision in Turkey by 1960s and then this rates decreased.Why? Becasue this phenomenon was broken. Public wanted to participate in the administration or government. Therefore, governments started to get its power only from the public. In spite of this, the ruling elite protected some points. Hence, coups( military blow or stroke) can be evaluated as a refraction point. Turks has been trying to administer as an independent country, thus the ruling elite's effects started decreasing. I think that the ruling elite shouldn't continue to make all important decisions since a spesific set of people's decisions are not good for public's future. In conclusion, if governments or states who get power only from the public continue to be in Turkey, Turks will be better than past and now about their own future. But if Turkey receives internal and external inferences, they can't be successful.

There are lots people who even do not know to read or write in Turkey. Gradually, this rate is decreasing. Also more people are graduating at university and so on. Should the rulling elite continue to make all important decision? According the article, ruling elite think Turks are not yet mature enough to make their own decision. I assure that it can be true in the past. However this situation starts to change a little bit because new generation aware of what is going on in the Turkey’s politic. Likewise new generation try to change this fate which people do not interrogate the politician. For example when people see some thing is wrong for them, they make a protestation to show their reaction.

Awareness of Turkish people is increasing. According the reaction of people about politics, people want to show their opinions. For example PKK have killed lots of soldier and Turkey’s public make constraint to start the fight against the PKK. However military or ruling elite do not trust to Turks. Military believe that people still do not know about the rest of the world. Thus they can not to change the Turkey’s future. Because military think Turkey’s government which is decided by Turks are not sufficient about politics and they think that Turks do not yet enough mature to make their own future.

In conclusion, Turks are under the elite and military control. I assure that people can manage their future. As Kinzer said “If they can find a way to break free, Turkey will astonish the world by becoming the most audaciously successful nation of the twenty-first century”. Thus ruling elite should give a chance to people for their own future. However Turks should be aware of the politics.

I think Turks can be trusted with their own future. However, it is really needed a complete change. Turkish Military Institution is the most trusted institution in Turkey. Turks feel a sincere respect, administration and even affection for a man in uniform. Military is one of the fundamental institutions in Turkey. People can’t get rid off the idea that military can solve whatever it happens. Because of this, government loses its power. Military influences over politics and think that they know what is best for Turkey. Turkish people need an authority for telling them what they have to do. It comes from Atatürk’s one-man revolution. Atatürk changed this country’s fate. But all these developments made by him. That’s why people don’t have self-confidence. They don’t think that they aren’t mature enough to decide their own destiny.

Anymore people educate themselves very well every subject. In Turkey trade improve, people think more sweeping, economy shows bursts so I think we shouldn't compare past and now. According to Kinzer, if Turkey go throught that islam and secularism or modern life are together, Turkey will be an example country toward countries which are Turkey's neighbour. And I think Turkey are successing it. In this case we see that Turks go throught their goals. Maybe, leaders told Turks cannot yet be trusted to protect their own position. Leaders didn't want that making desicion duty was taken from their hands, they knew that Turks were trusted, maybe I don't know exactly. Turkey is a democratic place. People believed this, they could be trusted their own future and themselves. Maybe, we can live this world because of them. Turkey is democratic country. People have human rights such as speaking, writing, thinking freely. So they decided instead of Turks but Turks didn't need this.Turks could do this themselves. Changing something is proof for this. Also people are more educated, technology improve, life standards are better than the past. These are good things. I think, these will be better than now. I think that Turks can be trusted with their own future. I think that Turkish people can decide what they want. Turkey had always seen as a un-educated and immature country but i think it's not true. Before when the people in Turkey couldn't decide for themselves and before Ataturk made all the changes, they didn't have any rights or they couldn't vote and women couldn't get educated. But now people can do anything they want. It is a free country now and everybody have rights, almost everbody is educated and everybody can speak for themselve. I think that ruling elite can't direct this country as they should and i think that they have to give us a chance to speak and tell our thoughts about this country. And i think it will be very useful because every Turkish person has so much opinions about this country and how to save Turkey from this situation. The ruling elite seem to believe Ataturk's ideas but they don't. They want us to think that they believe in democracy. I think without democracy this country will be in a worse position than it is now. If the democracy is gone then our rights will be gone slowly. I hope that the ruling elite can decide the best for Turkey.

Around world, people of many countries live at highest limit of starvation such as Africa.But people of africa doesn't just live poverty and also they have infectious sickness and they have lived result of civil war.Some country aid to africa to decrease that situtation however that not solve these problems because aids repair needs of weakness people at short periot and not reach all people.
Some countries aim to decrase that situtation of africa and they want to seem to be innocent to all people due to own image. they claim africa not have economical ,social and technical development and also africa live georghrapical disasters which cause raise of starvation thus they are planning to aid africa.
Secondly some resarchers claim that some countries not live industry revulation thus they prison to starvation.they were started being colony by emperyalist country, after that there appeared civil war ,to migration and infectious illness.Goverments which addict africa have to increase their relationship between other midtern-development country.Leaders and society have to fight with feudalistic structure because when some country aid to a place ,some persons get hold of all food or many which came from other country.
İn Africa all country have to create peace between them selves and , real helpful goverment try to making investment ,they give education to people(instead give fish they teach fishing )… big goverment hurt people’s heart with history but world destroy them with climate…what’s a suprize!!

Aid to Africa

When the topic discussed is poverty, people can not be objective. Starving and having a battle with poverty and diseases is a problem which seem to be have no solution. But as said in the articles, which are shown in our WebQuest, People have a lot of disjunction on ideas: some of them say the aid given to African people must be doubled and some of them say no aid have to be given. But actually the point is not the aid given to Africans, the point is how the aid given them. I think may be one of the reasons of this poverty in Africa is because of that aids' given them inaccurate by rich countries. For example if rich countries had not sent Africans food and they give that money for improving their crops and agriculture, there would not be any starving and food crisis. I think the first thing have to be done in a undeveloped country is increasing the trade and market. For example if Africans can produce cotton after the substructure work for that country(ex: feeding soil by using technology, founding factories and giving them raw materials with no fare) they will use this cotton for producing shirts etc. And than they will lead their life with the money they take from rich countries. The second thing should be improved and reconstructed is education system. Rich countries should channelize the help of theirs to education and invest the money for growing people. Then year by year it will be seen that education improves the life standard in country. The third thing is health. If there is no health, there will be no people living. Thats why for HIV people should be treated in big and improved hospitals, so hospitals should be founded there and HIV defeated people should not have any relation with HIV negative people. And people should be educated for not having sex or any blood transfer with HIV positive people. In additin HIV positive people have to not have children. After that people should be educated for not having overpoulation. These things actually will cost a lot for rich countries, so I will probably say aid should be doubled or tripled. Aid should be increased but not by sending them food, by doing the things I said. I think the only way of rescuing the African people from all that suffer is trade and market balance, education and health services improvement.

africa needs help

Aid to Africa must be in progress in this stage but this financial support should help people to live humanlike. İf the financial support stops, african people die this is a simple corelate.because they have no chance without money. we should distinguish two things: today'S help to africa is not effective but it is also a must. Therefore the aid system should be changed.
The important point is that if aid giving nation can change their aid policy, in other words if this countries help to africa to develop then no problem. there is a good example to develop this idea, we know that 500 billion dollars was spent for africa but this was only to keep poor african people alive. They dont help them to develope.
In conclusion aid to africa must continue but also should be friendly and to help them develop and live freely.

Aid to Africa?

Aid have to be stopped but after supply some useful conditions for Africans.I mean, aid shouldn't be stop suddenly.At first, seed should be given to farmers to sow them and food aid should be given at the ame time for a while.Farmers should know to grow foods not only for their families but also to provide for other people who live in Africa.They should even grow foods to export to develop.In Zambia,aid was banned because Zambia worried about genetically-modified US maize. Donors was waiting that people would die withouıt aids.However, people could alive without aids and they even raised their self- assured. This shows, aids reduce Africans self-assured. Therefore, aids shouıld be stopped.However, all sub-Africa's countries may not adapted esily and they may need time to be able to grow their own feeds and to recieve aids from rich countries, donors and NGOs for a while.Then, aid must be stopped. In conclusion, while they are growing their foods, donors should give aids at the same time for a while. After Africans become conscious about growing foods, aids must be stopped.

i think poverty is the main point of daily routine.it provides economic system. According to Marshall,Poverty is neccesary because,labour can result only from a state of poverty.Poverty shows the difference of societies condition and it is the crucial effect of life.Many people argue that with each other is poverty is the biggest problem of the world . It brings some death,unhealty life and terrible lifestyle it effects education level.Rich people want to be poverty population because poverty is the major point of their economic life.Poverty seems bad idea but it is the rule of life and people have to obey this rule.In a globalized world many people well known that equality is the neccesity one but it isn't good for economic system.

Stopping all aid to Africa cant conclude Africa's problems. Africa suffer from hunger and poverty. Africa should do something to solve these problems. Other countries shouldnt exploit Africa's resources. On the contrary, they should teach them how they control these resources. Giving aids to Africa is very good, but teaching something to people is very helpful for Africa's economics. If other countries teach how Africans control their resources and how they improve themselves, Africa will be developing. Stopping aid to Africa causes Africans' die. But, if they learn how they live in life easily, they will struggle to survive in life.

Should we fight against technology to protect our privacy?

The effects of the technology on our daily lives and privacy has gradually increased and it is very near to reach the peak. It can't ve denied the advantages of the technology but the negative effect of it concerning privacy is debating these days. Of course, it isn't nice to know our messages are read. For that reason, there should be some restrictions on the technologhy for our privacy because privacy is one of the important rights and if we don't prevent the effects of technology on our privacy, people will live with suspicion. This is not good for the health of society. On the other hand, technology can be used to prevent terrorism and other crimes like smuggling of narcotic. In conclusion, as it understood that technology can be good for our national security but it is very silly for our daily lives. For that reason, there shoul be some restrictions.

“Aid to Africa?”

Africa is the country we all feel sorry for. People are poor, hungry and suffer from very bad conditions. Living in Africa can be a nightmare to us but there are people who are living there.


Africa is poor and people are dying. Aid to Africa can save lifes but not all. It's because of the life in Africa. People start to train childen to kill when they are 8-10 years old. Children grow up with guns in their hands and they dont't know what is right and what is wrong. They do what they are told. So first things first if we want to help them we must educate these children and stop what they are doing. There are hundreds of people starve and die. We are in 21. century but people starve. We must do something about this but how? We can't stop it by ourselves. People have to will it before doing that and i don't see any people around me who are careing about Africa.

I hope living in Africa will be fine in some years because living in a world like this is no good because some day people can turn their backs to us later...

Stopping all aid to Africa will not help end poverty because starving is one of the biggest problems of Africa. But it can't be denied that sending only aid is not sufficient in order to end poverty. Actually, we should ask ourselves "What do we understand from aid?". We only realize that if we send aid to Africa, there is no hungry people so there is no problem for Africa. This is actually wrong. Of course, providing basic needs to Africans is very important and we should start from this step if we really want to see developed Africa but we also take some steps to help the development of Africa because they aren't doing anythinh while they are getting food. In other words, they don't produce anything. For that reason, we should provide some fields for people's enterprise. For instance, if Africa moves from substence agriculture to commercial farming and by implementing a programme of industrial development, they can develop. For all of these reasons, we should be aware of what Africa actually needs and we should see the whole picture. We should think not only short-term help but also long-term help. Chinese proverb tells everything "you shouldn't give the fish, you should teach how to catch the fish."

Should we fight against technology to protect our privacy?

We are living in a world which is changing everday. And technology is developing so fast that everday they find a way to get out lifes easier. I think that we shouldn't fight against that. Technology helps us in every way. Before, when there was no internet or no television we couldn't know anything about the world. What's happening in the world. Now we can learn it from our cellphones, our computers or from our TV's. We talk on the phone to communicate. If we are away somewhere we can talk to our friends or to our family on the phone. We can send money to foreign countries in a second. I think the most important one is the health. With the technology that we have they can find out what is wrong with the patient in easier and they can find cure to diseases. These are all the facts that the technology makes our lifes easier. If you are an ordinary person, you don't have to be scared about your privacy. But if you are a famous person or if you commited a crime or something you have to worry. And i think it is another good way about technology. Now they can easily catch a criminal or we can learn a lot of great things about the famous person we like from the internet. They can't listen to everybodys' phones. If you are just an ordinary person you don't have to worry about your privacy but if you are a criminal you have to worry because these days they can catch criminals even from their cellphone signals or their shoppings.

Aid to Africa

The aid must be given to Africa of course. Without that the people in Africa would be in a worse situation. There must be health aid to Africa. Aids is one of the biggest problems in Africa right now. Aids kills 6.000 people each day. Peoples' education level is so low, they can't improve themselves and because of this unconsciousness the population increases all the time so that the hunger appears. Because of this reasons there must be education aid to Africa. I think the education aid is the most important one. Industrialism and modern farm must be given to Africa. The people in Africa have to learn how to be a free person and they have to earn their own money. And if they can get education they can do that. And they have to work at the factories and they have to develop their own country and themselves. If they can not get help, the diseases coming from Africa will spread to the world. Because of the diseases and because of the hunger and poverty kills thousands of people everyday, the aid must be given to Africa.

In my opinion, with aid improvement, also should try to find better ways for Africas development. Giving aid is important for some kind of things, but long ranged solutions are more important. First, rich governments should cancelled Africas debt. Rich government use Africas debt for their advantage. With their application Africa can not improve and can't manage theirselves independently. They allowed Africa to trade more processed goods. Thus people who lives in Africa, reach better product. Someone send to Africa raw wheat. But if they send bread instead of raw wheat, this is better for Africa. I think civil war is one of the main reason for this bad situation. There are war about all around the Africa. This situation is advantage for arm dealers. They sold weapons to this countries and gain big moneys. Needless to say they do not sell weapons to persons. They sell weapons to dictator of that country and dictator give that weapons to his community and they kill. This should be blocked. Only with public order Africa can improve. As a conclusion, African people needs aids but only giving aid is not a solution. You can give them food, medicine, but you cannot solve their base problems with them.

I don't believe if aids are stopped, poverty will finish. Aid is not solution to finish poverty but aids must be in there because they need help. There are HIV viruses in Africa to kill people and there are a population problem due to unchecked population growth. If these two problems solve, they won't need help. Because Africa has rich mines: oils, gold, timber and diamond. If African people can use and control this mines, they can solve these two and another problems themselves. Because money is the biggest problem and they can solve their problems with money. In coclusion, African people can't use and control their mines because big countries don't want this, son they need aids and aids should not be stopped.

Aid to Africa; today its been done by many years.It became an addiction also whole thing works out nothing at all.Even western people do it just for they feel guilty.And they should be feeling guilty.But this kind of aid,is wrong.Today,when we look at the big picture,its the same Africa back in 20years.Even worse.This is mostly because of there is no such proper aid plan for Africa.The most aid being done is food aid.This seems to be working out.Bu only in short term.People are becoming addicted to this aid.Rather than standing up and start figting for earning their own food,they are expecting help constantly.But should we stop food aid? Ofcourse no.Statistics shows that more then half of the Africa is struggling to get food,they are just on the hunger limit.So stopping food aid,would be a total massacre.But is it the right way for helping Africa?No its not.So what should be done is helping Africa by food aid but also helping them to build their own system of life.And stopping the food aid progressively.

Stopping aid to Africa will help Africa. But aid shouldn’t be stopped at once. Because their situation is awful now. But aid should be stopped in a near future. Because they are not starving because of economical problems. Because they don’t need economy. They don’t need money. They are used to live without money. They are peaceful with the nature. Only way to helping them is giving them their rights. Imperialists must give them their gold, diamond etc resources. UN, USA, UK, EU etc seems like helping them, crying them and praying them but it’s known that they don’t. Why should they? Germany is the leader country in Gold Exchange. UK is the leader in Precious Stone Exchange. They steal them from Africans. They have been using Africans as slaves for centuries. Every year more than 200.000 children from West Africa are kidnapped. Their prices are 8 pounds. Children from Benin, Togo and Mali are working for cacao companies. By the way those companies uses children for their advertisements. How cruel, dishonorable and shameless they are. By the way Animal Rights Fund’s budget is more than Slaves and Minority Fund’s budget. Worst part is so many African children are used as sex-slayers. I want to turn the subject. When they will start to live free they will solve the problems result from starvation and illness. It’s known that creator of HIV is soldiers of USA. They are millions of people who are killing themselves in Africa. Why? Because weapon producers want it. So simple. If there won’t be any terror, how they will sell guns? Aid must be stopped in a close future and Africans must get their rights. Like Massais blesses: ‘’Always be lonely!’’ Live Africa alone, live us alone!

''Internet Skills and Technology Security''

I don't think that this project add some internet skills to me. I'm already good at internet. I use internet so much both at homework, entertainment, life etc. I use so many research sites such as Google, Mozilla Firefox, Yahoo... They are easy to use and secure sites. They help me lot. As a technology security I have to admit that development of technology is incredible. It's bad I think. Because our future will be like G. Orwell's ''1984''. Specially some governmets use technology for their benefits. It is bad humans. They want to know everything. Technology is well if it is for nature and living creatures. But if it is for weapons, secret informations etc bad. Especially for a world which is full of secrets and darkness. It is the time for using technology for clearness.

Aid to Africa?

Help is help if only it really helps and makes someone happy.Africans don't stop dying from hunger although day get aid.This may make a question mark in our heads about neccessarity of the aid given to Africans.But no one is cruel enough to let them starve and die, so in my opinion aid should be given by something else that they will use for their lifetimes.Food is given and when it's finished, people start to die again.It's not adequate enough to counteract the poverty that Arica is facing. So, in order to invest all the money to feed the Africa, they should be fed in physical and psychological ways, like health and education.They should be prepared to life by taking good education and make money enough to feed themselves and their hungry families.And there should be more opportunities about people's health problems in order to prevent people dying.All in all, Africa is in need of aid, because it can't survive lonely.But this shouldn't be given in cash, cause it's not working.Different ways of aid should be given in order to rescue the country from a dead end.

Stopping all aid to Africa could not help end poverty because instead of stopping aid they need lots of things to end poverty. There are several problems about Africa such as decades of underinvestment in rural areas, war and political conflict, unchecked population, diseases, agriculture and lack of basic education etc. Africa has to overcome these problems to end poverty because if African people overcome these problems, they can get permanent solutions. However, Africans do not have any force to solve their problems, that’s why the other countries that are developed can help much more to Africa to cope poverty. For instance, if their problems are overcame by rich countries, Africa’s poverty might be over because these kind of aid which I mentioned is more permanent for Africa’s politics, economy and basic education. Besides, some kind of aid such as water, medicine, food etc. keeps people alive and tries to maintain their dignity as human beings because they have to be alive to fight the poverty. For example, 30% of African people have HIV/Aids and also there are several diseases that they suffer from. So, they need medicine to get rid off their diseases. When they take medicine they can not die because of illnesses. Therefore, they will be more healthy by using basic aid to end poverty. Thus, stopping all aid does not help end poverty because they need permanent solutions to improve their conditions. Also, until Africa overcomes the poverty, the aid should not be stooped.

Aid to Africa is necessary for a definite period. Africa has mines, oil and other things. However africans can not profit their wealth. Poorly goverments, bad management and built colony from other developed countries give way to poverty. Therefore aid to africa does't solve every bad things which HIV, poverty, hunger enough. When i research this topics argument, i read so good example from BBC's website. It explain that '' in the very first days of an emergency such as a refuge exadıs or natural disaster when people are not able to cook their own food aid agencies can provide biscuits, rations or even freshly baked bread for people.'' However Africa has faced many problems for many years, so aid is necessary, but aid should not be biscuits, clothes or other things. If aid agencies, NGOs want to rehabilitate Africa financially, they should increase employment rate of africa to build up factories, farming, because food or other aid don't provide better life. It only give some minutes to live. Therefore NGOs, aid agencies or developed countries must provide to employ in Africa ''for'' Africans.

Technology is getting to improve .In the world,there are lots of countries which are changing rapidly by technology.When technology is added to peoples’ lives,it began to change our lives.What’s more,it began to influence us more positively.But there is a conflict between technology and changing.The most important question is we have to ask; should we fight against technology to protect our privacy? This preference changes from person to person and it reflects people’s attributes from the technology an deven what they seek in life.In my opinion,there are severeal aspects how techonology influences our life,how it destroys the privacy of peoples’ life.There are lots of different countries and they usually have no connection to each other in terms of culture and habits.Such as;after tv has included our lives,people began to get news on there.But there are kinds of news which they ignored the peoples lives.Furthermore,internet began to be an indispensable part of our lives.It helps not only communicate all over the world,also to do research in every area when we needed.But those essential things had used almost limitless so we can’t say that all of them are supported by awareness.There are many various problems in copying,writing,publishing something without any permission.Due to this, undue publication are using in internet or without permission online users download the musics by deserter.In addition to these,the majority of people prefer the connect others pc’s.They access the others hidden data’s.It blazes the withdraw one's confidence from sb.The other important technology tool is mobile phones.Out of the circle of acquaintances have an opportunities to listen our conversations if they want.On this way,if we don’t know why they are listening our talking,we don’t have any chance to protect our privacy.Okey,ı accept,it has benefits,it is necessary to prevent troubles for us.Suc as; terrorism. Causes of poverty in Africa is important because all aid is not useful in African's people. While
West country could help to Africa. They should pay attention some problems that come on scene in societies. For insteance; If the aid is basic needs such as food,water etc.These needs should be chosen carefully.They causes some dieases for people and animals so this sitution is no aid for them. The aid could damage to society. The food that bring about dangerous dieases make different problems about health. I think that African's goverment should taken some measures for people and own society. Towards having favour from different country because allhelp actually is not really aid.

Africa is now in need of a minimum standard of living. It needs the basic goods and services so as to go on living and improve lives. Africa is a country which starvation boundry and underdeveloped. It has lots of problems. For example; basic levels of Education, Health, Water, and Economic Empowerment, Natural disasters, Explotation, for Food aid. Every year, three million babies die in the first week of their life, while 3 million are born dead. More than 100 million children do not go to school. Diseases is diffusing, non-stop. In Botswana 39% of the population is HIV positive, and life expectancy has dropped to 39 years, according to UNAids. Deaths are increasing every other day. According to UN Population Fund, a woman dies every 60 seconds due to pregnancy related causes, equal to 60 deaths per hour or more than 500,000 every year.But poverty and hunger is very important than other needs since the number of hungry people is growing by 5 million year. These people go to bed every night as hunger and more than half of Africa is in need of urgent food assistance. The situation is so bad. Because of this, food aid must do immediately and then other projects should be used for problems. Something has to be done for these people by political will or other powerful authority. In addition, giving aid feels fine but there are better ways to help Africa. Why to find different ways are necessary about aid to Africa? For instance," Despite nearly a trillion dollars of aid since independence in the 1960s, much of Africa is worse off now than it was then." Because of this, I don't believe "only aid is not solution for Africa." As a result, Africa needs to find a permanent solution to develop and make progress by itself. It is very important to help African people now, because there are many poor people who suffer from lack of food, water and some diseases. They don't have enough medicine to avoid from the disease. For example Aids and Malaria. If some big countries don't send them medicine, what will they do. All of them will die. There is some preventions to keep away from some diseases. If they are educationed, they can easisly understand what is wrong. For example, you must keep out of, the river in the middle of Africa, because you can take some Malarian viruses. Some people , who stil live there , dont know this yet. So education must be seen every where in Africa. Some big counties send some doctors to teach that kinds of information to poor African countries.In additon, if big countries and some big companies don't send food to African people , many of them will die . Because Africa is not a good place to do farming. The land isn't a producctive place. They have some other kind of varieties but, they don't have a good land. So some coutries must aid to poor Arfican countries till them organize their trade and development

However, they do not produce their food as there are no irrigation equipment, agricultural machinery, fertilizer factories, infrastructure in Africa and it will be very difficult for them to overcome their problems under these conditions. Ithink, If countries provide these possibility, they will be able to produce their food and will be able to develop. Because people need to develop and work. What is more, goverment of Africa should help their public. For instance, they should lower taxes, remove trade barriers and even if aids do not stop, they should not be relaxed. It is a well known fact that, if problems of Africa can solve with only food aids, these have been solved a long time. Therefore, countries should provide education and trade possibility and also agricutural machinery while it help.

Africa is in need of radical changes in government and economic policies; but stopping all aid is not a solution .I approve that it is not right to make them addicted to aid. Giving then opportunities to work and earn money to survive may be a solution but this requires a well-structured government. Finally, stopping aid does not help them , it causes Africa to be in a worse condition.

It is necessary because ıf there would be any poor people, there wouldn't be wealth people. The economic of world has balance. This balance depend on money. Everbody cannot be wealth. If everbody would be wealth in a country. This country has not waitors, tailors, shoemakers etc. Anybody do not perform own works in daily, so sources of this country run out because people of country have fulfillment of rules ,sociol laws and values. People spend their money without working and not earning money. The economic balance of this country is broke down. Every social must has poor people . It is sure that this stitution is very distressful. However; ıf developing a country want to be economical power. They need to poverty people.

I think that the aid to Africa is actually necessary for helping Africa in order to develope itself and diminish the level of poverty and hunger. Aid is the charity that aims to develope Africa and supplies basic needs to Africa in order to hamper poverty and hunger. Therefore this kind of aid keeps people who are struggling to survive aliveand tries to maintain their dignity as human beings. Moreover aid is determined as a life support system that not merely supplies food for hunger but at the same time leads so many children to have education and access well health conditions. For example, hundreds of children manages to escape from the violent streets and HIV and Aids after British aid to Africa. Thus, this limited aid that is included with education and health might be required for Africa in order to complete its development process, because as we think that the development is a long-term process, the first basic requirements for development or gaininh prosperous are education and health in social, economic and political means.
On the other hand I believe that this kind of aid should be kept limited and it should not be doubled, because by this way Africa can not prevent itself to be depended on the countries that apply aid and it might turns out to be slavery and suffers from the collpnialism. Moreover the aid is not the only solution that it needs to complete its development process. One of the articles that I have read though WebQuest underlines that if aid could make Africa prosperous, it would have done so by now. Moreover, if we try to examine the today's status of Africa such as wells in wrong place, factories without a fuel supply, roads that were not maintained, we can realize that cash only helps peple survive. Till there is an unequal relationship between Africa and other countries and a barrier in trade that hampers Africa to sell its goods, aid can not help Africa in order to develope itself in economic and political means. However, I think that aid is necessary for Africa in order to make people survive and diminish the level of poverty, even though I know that the aid is not the only solution for it.
